........ Just a few things I've been up to since I was last here!

These two were both done using Crate paper Emma's Shoppe collection, I love the 'cute baby cheeks' one the best, I just love baby profiles & have done one of each of our grandbabies! I did the title with my Silhouette machine.

These three are of Henry when he was little - I'm trying to use up some of our older photo's before I move onto the newer ones! I used MME Stella Rose Hattie range for all of these pages!

.... this time to show you a couple of layouts I did this past week or so using the new Crate Emma's Shoppe, one of my new favourites I can confirm!! love it!

this one was a total scraplift of Nichol Magouirk on twopeas, it was the 'from start to finish' challenge HERE My mojo had gone awol & I thought what better way to get it back than to try out something like this - I thoroughly enjoyed it too! I cut my title with my Silhouette.

After doing the first one I was on a roll & completed this in no time, I've got to start using my die cutting machine loads more though cos' it's gonna save loads on alphas! I also love the effect it gives plus you can cut whatever size you like!

right I'm in the middle of another page from the same papers ........... told you they were gorgeous!! LOL so I'll upload a pic thru the week!

......... now that the kits have gone out I can show you what I did with all the fab stash within it!!!

I loved the kit & enjoyed playing with it! I know I say it almost every month but these kits just seem to get better, I loved all the bright colours & the chipboard this time.

While I'm here I thought I'd show you the class that claire created for the retreat a few weeks ago, this is my take on it, a tiny bit different but the layout is the same!

And a page I created at the retreat using the new MME paper collection Stella Rose, I used Tracy's Tim Holtz flower die for the flowers........ thanx hun!;)

......... I know, I know! I said I wouldn't do it again but, here I am with a lonnnnnnnnnnng gap between posts AGAIN!! Sorry! just don't seem to have the get up & go when it comes to blogland lately!

Anyway, here I am with not much to blog about anyway but thought I'd pop in to update!
I've been on the Sarahs cards scrapbooking retreat at the begining of the month - it was brilliant!! loads of new stash shopping, seeing old friends & making new ones and a bit of scrapping got done so I came home happy although beyond exhausted!!!

I don't have any photo's to show you right now but promise I will come back soon & upload some layouts & other bit & bobs.

...........it has been a long time since I posted!!!

Been busy scrapping & quilting for the grandbabies, so here's some pics!

These are two lap quilts I made recently for Olivia & Charlotte - a bit obvious I know!! The fabric used was Lilly & Will for Moda, gorgeous muted colours in real life!

For this layout I used some Basic Grey & a few older Prima flowers - trying to use up some old stash before CHA goddies come floding in!! haha!

and this one was created for the challenge over at Sarahs it was to show your 2010 highlights, mine were the arrivals of two beautiful grand daughters! I used Glitz Designs papers for this one!

....... I did!!
We had Nat, Joe & Henry over for Xmas dinner & a stay til' Boxing day but poor Natalie was really poorly & still is so she didn't enjoy it at all! :(
Henry had tons of fun as did the rest of us playing with his toys! haha!

As it's been rather quiet over the holidays I've been busy scrapping & altering a printers tray that I've had for ages, here's some photo's of what I've been up to ..........

These first two were created with the lovely MME Alphabet soup, I love this range to bits & still have a bit more left for a couple more pages!

Theses two were done using the gorgeous Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 - these are just my cup of tea, the colours are fab IRL and they do for either boy or girl which is always a bonus!!

I've also done this printers tray in CC Circa 1934, we're having our lounge decorated in the new year & I've decided I love the colours together & will go with this combination for it, so this will fit right in!

......... Christmas in our house!!

Just a few random pics from around our house!

I've also been knitting & scrapping - knitted this a few weeks ago but only just got round to uploading here!

And some pages I've done lately ........................

for this one I used the fabulous MME Alphabet soup - love the colour combo's in this & I also had to do a bit of hand stitching, my new love for my pages!

Again using the above & some older stash I came across while cleaning my room last week! Clear accents by Fancy Pants & some brads!

MME Alphabet soup again but mixed with some spray mica mists by 'that special touch' which are available HERE they're brilliant and even tho I was a bit scraed of using them at first, it's another technique I've tried & really like!

I've been creating so I thought I'd pop on & share them with you!

Dean & Rachel having a bit of fun a couple of days before he went off to Afghan, I used some WRMK papers for this. The hearts are handstitched.

Self explanitory really! Olivia sulking in our porch!! :) I call her this when she's in a mood! Also done using WRMK & the butterfly is a die cut by Marianne (SP?)

This photo I have scrapped before but I like it so why not?? LOL
Crate was used for this & some spray mists by Tattered Angels, a technique I know I'll use again very soon!

Right, thats me for now, I've just blocked a sleevless cardi that I've been working on so once it's dry I'll show you it!

It's 'That' time of year ...................

.......... when the time has come for me to create one of these ..........

I have to make a new one of these every year & so far this is my favourite!
I used MME 'I Belive' papers & chipboard elements, little paper mache boxes (from Hobbycraft in last years sale!!) Stickles, Thickers numbers & Lilybee rub-ons. I was surprised how quick this was to make!!

I've also been busy creating a couple of box frames that I've had for year & came across last week, for these I used leftover scraps of October Afternoon, these now decorate the walls in my craftroom - hope you like them!!

........... so sorry but I have been a busy bee! With D & R & our beautiful granddaughters being home for a couple of weeks then my weekend away with the girls from Sarah's then other priorities come first!
It was so nice to have Dean & family home, it was also really great to have him back on UK soil safe & sound from his trip to Afghan - I really miss them already!! :(

Right, back to what this blog was set up for in the beginning, crafting!

I've been busy doing just that! First off I created a page for the latest sketch challenge over at Sarah's Blog

This is Henry, our gorgeous grandson, who quite strangely could belong to our youngest son, he gets more like him everyday! I used the very nice BG Oliver for this page. At the weekend away at the barn I created 5 pages & also tried a couple of new techniques - thanx to Lou :)
Here's the inked ones, something I 'never' do cos' I like the 'clean' look .......... well no more I tell you!! LOL

I used the new MME Halloween range for these & the next one.

These are the other two that I did but, now I think they look rather bare - maybe it's cos' I didn't use ink??!! .............. what do you think??

Right, enough from me for today, I'm still trying to catch up on my sleep from the past few weeks!!

This one I did a while back, I used some Coredinations cardstock on this & some old bits & bobs I came across while clearing my space, I love the effect of that Prima felt mat.

This one I did at a crop a couple of weeks ago, just trying to make a hole in all the 'older' stash before breaking into the 'newer' stuff!! LOL

...@ the Pink Booby 5 crop!
This past weekend I attended the 24 hour fund raising event for breast cancer awareness for the 3rd year but, this year was a bit different! I was asked to design a class & although I wasn't feeling very well (and did contemplate ringing to cancel!!) I got there about 10:30. Everyone who took my class did a fantastic job & quite a few changed it up a bit to make it their own! Although I didn't get much done in all day it was lovely to meet up with everyone who I hadn't seen for a while & of corse spend some pennies (well more than I should have!!)in Sarah's shop! Gorgeous goodies I just couldn't have resisted! LOL
Anyway, here's a pic of the page I designed ........

I also did this page to show how different it looks using other papers & just one photo!

Right, off to bed now cos' I'm still shattered, don't know how all those who stayed late or even overnight managed it!!

........ crochet photo's!
Here's a few of the little cardies etc I made while away on holiday last month, they're all for our expected granddaughter who is due to arrive at the begining of December!

First up are a couple of little waistcoats, I loved making these cos' they were so quick to do & are very soft in a lovely baby cotton. (the green one looks very 'lime-y' here but is much nicer in real life!!)

These two are what I would call 'old fashioned matinee coats' they're tiny, so cute & mummy loves them!

These two are my favourite, again made with soft baby cotton & the frills make them looks soooo trendy! LOL I still have hats to make to match both of these!

...... of the pages I did with Sarah's Cards September Kit

Quite self explanitory this one, Henry messing about in my readers, he was so funny cos' he couldn't work out why things looked so different thru them, he kept looking over the top, then through them at us & the floor, bless him, he must have been very confused but it tickled us! Most of the elements on this one have been raised with 3D foam & staggered to match in with the title!

Henry again but quite a while back, the only way to get a decent photo of him at that age was while he was watching TV, the telly image came in handy for this page!

Little mother hen Olivia a couple of days after charlotte was born, I cut all the circles with punches & embellished them with images from the papers & other punched shapes, again most things are raised up!

This last one is my favourite, Charlotte looking very serious @ 3 months. This was very quick to do & the little tree house was crying out to be painted!

Almost done with the craftroom sort out, hopefully I'll get chance to create towards the end of the week - fingers crossed my mojo doesn't go a wondering again!!
Oh, I'll try & remember to take pics of the baby cardi's i've crotcheted & upload here soon!

........ raring to go again - with scrapping that is!
My mojo has returned & I'm eager to get back to creating as soon as I've sorted out my craftroom & found homes for my new goodies!!

While I'm here I thought you might like to see a few sneak peeks of what I created with the Sarah's September kit I know I've said this quite a few times here but, I loved working with one & it's definately one of my all time favourites, if you haven't yet seen whats on offer then head over there & check it out!!

Throughout our holiday & since we got back I've got a serious addiction - to crochet!! I used to knit & crochet a lot when the kids were young but haven't done much for a long time. Then we hit the craft shops in the US & I got the bug again! I'm not one for sitting & watching TV and as this holiday was a real *chill out* I had to have something to do of an evening - I made 5 jackets with hats to match for our *due in 9 weeks* granddaughter. I just have to put buttons on & add finishing touches then I'll take some photo's for you to see.

..... things I've been creating since my last post!
First up is this papier mache heart which I've ad for ages! I'm trying to use up some of the older stash I have shoved in 12 x 12 bags around my craftroom!!
Using up some October Afternoon and a few old embellies!

And a few layouts that I did too, I love the two I did with the Pink Paislee best, I love the pic of Olivia - she's growing up way too fast! The pics in the one of Charlotte aren't the best but they were the best she was giving that day & I wanted to take the basket shots at 4 months as I did with Olivia & Henry ............ maybe I'll try again soon!

And finally one of Henry when he was about 10 months old, I used the Bella BLVD Man of the house range for this & again using punches!

Right thats me for today, we're off on our hols on Friday for two weeks so I probably won't have time to post again before then!

.... I made these a while back but put the finishing touches to them the other day - don't you love it when you finally get round to finishing something thats been moved from place to place around the house with promises made to get the job done!!!
I love all the Tilda dolls & housewares & would love to make every single thing in all of the Tone Finnanger books I made a few things last Christmas but my favourite book is the Sew Sunny Homestyle one - the only thing is, I'd love all of the furniture that they use to showcase the projects on too! LOL

...... my boy that is - He'll be gone for 4 months & I'm missing him already!! :( :(

......... YUK!! what a bad'n it was too! It went thru the house like a tornado & we're all glad it's now gone - fingers crossed!

Right, that said here's some scrapping pics from the last couple of weeks .........

Henry & Olivia searching for 'spideys' (funny how they both call spiders this!!) Oh how I love these new lines from October Afternoon - I think it's the colour mix & the quality of the papers!

Sweet Charlotte sucking on her hand over my shoulder a couple of weeks ago - she's such a cutie & a good baby. Again I used OA here but wanted to leave it quite plain to show off the photo.

This photo made me laugh :) Olivia's daddy took it while they were at a charity football match, not really sure what she's doing but by the looks of things she's looking quite close at something interesting! Yes, I used the same very gorgeous OA AGAIN! I am quite pleased tho that I did use up lots of older embellies, stickers etc from my mountains of stash!

Right, I'm off to make up a few cards from the scraps I have left over .......... OR do I make yet another layout?? LOL

Using October Afternoon (Edited to correct manufacturer!!) Fly a Kite again for this page of DS & Olivia out for a stroll last summer - I distressed the papers cos' I love this technique & the papers look so nice this way, must be the colours & the thickness that make me do it!! LOL

I've used some 3D foam to raise up the flowers so they stand out a bit more!

OK, that done I'm off to do a bit of a tidy up in my craftroom - it gets so messy so quick!!

....... here are a few of the pages I've done over the past couple of weeks!!

This first one is Olivia sitting on the stars reading (well as a 2 year old can! LOL)
I love her little feet & how her toes are curled up!
I used my present favourite - October Afternoon Fly a Kite, the colours are gorgeous & fruity!
As you can see in the close up I've used some Diamond Glaze over the little cut out accents and added a row of Birds on a wire with my Martha Stewart punch.

This next one is miss Olivia again with my reading specs on :) I love this photo of her so much so that it's also in a frame in our lounge, when I look at it it makes me giggle! Some Basic Grey was used for this - I haven't used a lot of the recent ranges from Basic Grey & I don't know why - maybe I'm going off it OR it's just too nice to cut into???

I've used a different method to upload these pics & am struggling a bit so it looks like I'll have to make two posts tonight!!

Crocheted shoes for Charlotte ...................

.......... my back hasn't been very good AGAIN!! this past few days so my hands have been busy making these pretty little shoes for our new DGD Charlotte

{I got the pattern from HERE there's some cute stuff so I can see Charlotte wearing matching shoes for every outfit she has!! LOL}

- who by the way we get to meet for the very first time at the weekend!! Whooohooo! I can't wait to give her the 2 months (almost) worth of cuddles & kisses that I've missed!!!! And to do the same to DGD Olivia who I've missed so much more than words can say!!

I've done a bit of scrapping but can't show you some of it just yet cos' it's DT stuff & others I just haven't photographed!!

Hope everyone is OK & not getting as much rain as we've had over the past week - where did that lovely sunshine go to??

Yes - I've finished my shrug, here are a few photo's (don't look at me tho - I hate having my photo taken but just had to here!) so you could see that it really fits too!
I did enjoy making it, it's been about 12 years since I've knitted & I am really pleased with the result!

How many chipboard alpha's does a crafter need?

....... I thought I was doing good by using up the mounds of alphas in this room - didn't realise that I have to use the bloomin' negatives too!!!
Well, when I say I'm gonna do something, I stick to my word & do it! So over the weekend I've done another 2 layouts trying to do just that - here they are ............

A few photo's of DGD Olivia playing about on the stairs pulling faces thru the rails.
I trimmed the alphas here with my Woodware trimmer & scalloped blade then stripped off the shiny paper from each & painted with daubers to go with some scraps of Crate paper Baby Doll & used a couple of rub-ons here & there - oh & some Dymo tape too!
I'm not really fussed on this layout tho cos' I think it's way too busy!

Little Henry a while back dribbling whilst teething - how cute!!
For this I used Farm fresh by October Afternoon, found this hiding in the cortner the other day & thought I best get it used - well some of it anyway!
Can you believe I still have tons of these bloomin' alphas left, one thing I've learned is NOT to buy so many in future!!!

Here comes summer ..............

.......... well I hope so anyway!!
It's been so warm here today it's hard to believe that it was snowing just a few weeks ago!
I've been doing a bit more scrapping to try & bring down the mountains of stash I have in this room - it's such a great feeling to use even the tiniest thing that I've had for sooooooo long!! Hopefully I can keep it up til' it brings those mountains down a bit so they just look like hills! LOL

This is Olivia sometime last year laughing at something on TV & wearing one of her many hats!
I used MME Abbey Road papers here, AC thickers & some Basic Grey brads that I've had for ages. I also used some Shimmerz Spritz paints for my background - first time I've tried these & loved them - watch this space!LOL

Our new addition Charlotte - I haven't used anything old for this page but thats cos' I still have tons of Dear Lizzy to use up & I had to use something new & pretty for our new granddaughter, these fabric papers are just sooooo nice to use!

Not really my favourite layout but gosh everything on this is old even the photo's of Henry aged 8 months! Scenic Route chipboard alphas, MM red spotty paper & Dymo tape ........... I was determined to use those alphas (still have them in black & cream too!!!) I am quite pleased with the finished result so might make one for Olivia & Charlotte now & see if I can get rid of the rest of the letters!

......... I'm back with some more photo's of my scrapping!

This one is for my 'me' album, I did it from a sketch from Sketchbook at Studio Calico & used Cosmo Cricket Material Girl. As I've been a sewer almost all of my life I thought I'd best scrap about it! LOL

It's been gorgeous here again today & hopefully it'll last over the weekend!!

Right, I haven't really got anything exciting to talk about today apart from I've been scrapping quite a bit lately oh, and I've been knitting too!! I haven't knitted for soooooo many years but I saw the yarn in Hobbycraft a few weeks ago so I bought it thinking if I don't get on with it knit-wise then I'll crochet something instead.
Well, it took me over a week to find a circular needle first off & then once I started the pattern I soon realised that my tension was far too tight cos' it was turning out too small so I had to undo & start all over with a bigger size! :( good job it's done in superchunky!! LOL
Anyway, I've not got far to go & will be finished in the next few days so I'll upload once I'm done & tried it for size!

This is the yarn & pattern I'm doing, I'm doing it double cos' they didn't have the one I wanted - you've got to improvise if you can't get what you want eh??!!

Right here's a few photo's of some of the pages I've done too - can't show you them all yet but these will do for now! :)

This was Rachaels class at the retreat in Warrington last month, I've altered it slightly to work with my photo and I really enjoyed it, I loved the different techniques that were new to me - thanx hun ;)

This is Henry last year in Animal Kingdom, he was so scared of Balloo bear - bless him! I used the Cosmo Cricket Joyride for this, one of my new faves right now!!

This one is Olivia being guided thru the snow by her daddy last winter, here I've used Crate Cottage collection -

and another of her having a bit of a sulk in the garden!
I'm trying to use up my mountains of stash before I'm buried underneath it all!!!

...... sorry but blogging hasn't been at the top of my list of priorities lately!!
Anyway, I've still been creating, cropping, sewing & I've attended the Sarah's Cards very first retreat which was the best weekend ever - with fantastic reviews all round!
Here is the sewing I've done this the last time I was here, firstly Pocket & Floss, Floss was done in my very first sewing class a few weeks ago, Pocket I did the following week at home, they will become friends with Olivia & Henry sometime over Easter to go with the chocolate eggs...........oooops :O! I've just thought, we'll have another grand daughter by then so I'll have to get busy making another!!!

Next is a bag I made from a Button Angel pattern, although I love the shape/style of it, now that it's made up I've gone off the colours!! ....... maybe it'll grow on me & I'll use it one day!! :)

........ scrapbook papers etc that need to be used up to make way for even more gorgeous'er (not really a word but I like it! LOL) new stuff destined to make it's way into my craftroom very soon!!
I did this page of Olivia last night, I just adored her in this hat & had to take loads of photo's of her wearing it - don't you just love that cute baby profile too?
I used the gorgeous AC Letterbox papers & chipboard & some thickers - these can all be found at Sarah's if you'd like to get your hands on them!

I can't wait for the even more gorgeous collection Dear Lizzy OH WOW!! that is gonna be so perfect for my little Olivia (and the other little bean DGD thats gonna arrive very soon too!) I can't wait & am stalking the site for Dear Lizzy to make an appearance!

.............. the new!! Yes, thats what I'm trying to do! - scrapbooking wise of corse!
Now that CHA winter has just happend I NEED to make space for all that goodness thats gonna make it's way into my craftroom!
So, I've been busy the psat couple of days creating a couple of layouts, altering a birdhouse & making a few cards out of the leftovers!

The birdhouse done with some BoBunny papers & stickers & a card to match, do you like my new Martha stewart Water Lily punch? works so well with vellum!

Next it's my mum with Henry on her 70th birthday last year, I've been wanting to scrap this photo for a while now, so glad I used up these papers & stickers from 3Bugs too!

And this one of Henry & Olivia sitting on the back step last summer, it was funny cos' Henry followed her everywhere & she just ignored him completely - bless him!

And a few cards from the scraps!

I promised myself at the begining of the year to make at least one card from the leftovers every time I did a layout, up to now I've stuck to it!! Yeah!

What does your weekend hold for you? Anything planned?
I haven't got anything planned for tomorrow - in a bit of pain right now so maybe take it easy?? I've got a crop Sunday & want to be as good as it gets for that - hopefully it won't be too cold, getting fed up with these thick whoolies now! LOL

.......... is addicting!!
After 2 weeks of searching the web, playing about, almost throwing the thing thru the window - it's finished!!! YEAH!!
My love of Basic grey Eva helped a lot, oh and the colours! Although I've worked with fabric almost all my life I've never tried quilting.
Everything was going to plan until it came to stitching around the edge before starting to bind - I just couldn't get the bottom layer/backing to sit right :( no matter what I did & how many times I unpicked it & tried another way it wouldn't lay flat. So I finally gave in & phoned a friend - talking it thru we came up with the solution - trim all layers to size 'then' put the binding on! Yippeeee! it worked! Now it's finished I can't wait to start another, but this time do it the right way!!

All flat & crease free - pinned & ready for stitch-in-the-ditch!

All done & on the bed - even though it's quite plain for a handmade quilt & love it! :) I wanted it to look quite modern but still quilted if you know what I mean?
Natalie has asked me to make her one in black, white, cream & lime - yeah she wants it 'modern - modern' and large squares, so hopefully it will be super quick for me to make!

Oh, I have a page to show you too, I did this last week before I started the DT stuff & forgot to upload. I used the lovely Cosmocricket Nutmeg collection mixed with a bit of AC Loveletters chipboard, some machine stitching & lots of MM button brads that I've had for ages!

........... Where has the time gone since Christmas??

As some of you may already know, the gallery at UKscrappers is being scaled down and everything posted before Jan 2009 will be deleted tomorrow!!
So, I clicked over there & had a look thru to see if there was anything I wanted to keep images of before the big chop!
I was shocked when I went thru & seen some of them were posted in 2007 - so here I am uploading some of them to my blog, it's so strange to look thru them & realise that it was so long ago since I actually created these pages & also to see just how much the grandbabies have grown up!!
Here's what I chose ................

This last page is one of my all time favourites, even though I love it, it's very rare that I scrap on shaped cardstock - maybe I should give it another go very soon!?

I've been quite busy lately doing DT stuff for Sarah and also I started my very first quilt from the Basic Grey Eva range by Moda - photo's to follow of sneak peeks & my completed quilt!!
I'm really pleased with the quilt even tho it's been a bit tough just going off instructions from the internet & Youtube - it's so hard trying to decide who/what to beleive as the 'right' way to do it! ....... needless to say, it's been unpicked a few times!
Right, I need to finish off my write ups & get them sent off, so I'll see you all soon & thanx for popping in & commenting!

Yes, the snow that is! Within a few hours, what was totally white is now dull & miserable! ........... even tho I didn't really like it while it was here I must admit that it was a lot brighter outside!

Right, onto the sewing I've been doing the past couple of weeks - I made a promise to myself at the begining of 2010 that I have to finish a project before starting another & if I do a scrapbook page then I have to make at least one card from the same papers.
Well about 10 days ago I ordered a Basic Grey Eva layer cake to do a quilt for our bed but I wanted to do some sacks for the grandkids for next Christmas too, so I decided to concentrate on them & get them finished before it comes cos' I know I'll be tempted to start it right away!
Well here they are, one each for Henry & Olivia & the one without a name is for the new baby due in March. I'm delighted with my efforts & how they turned out - hurry up Mr Postman & bring my supplies for my next project!! LOL

Here's how they'll hang next Christmas.

I had stockings for them this year but found they were too small to fit much in, these will be much better I think, the only thing is, I'll have to keep them high up so little hands won't go rumaging!!

...... well over a month if I'm honest!! Way too busy to blog! LOL

Firstly I wanna mention the white stuff - yes the SNOW!! What a lot we've had! 12inches! WOW it's been a looooooonnnnnng time since we saw that much!

............ my stuffed snowman display, these are just the cutest things I've ever made!! They are from a pattern from the Tilda books by Tone Finnanger - take a look, I dare you! LOL......... this is where I got the BOOK from. Totally cute!!

I also did this one for my mum

And our tree - it looks small here but is 7 foot! The picture on the right is a cross stitch I did a few years ago before I started papercrafting & comes out every year together with another 3 very large ones of Santa!

And a couple more bits, a little tree ornament that I got from our trip to Germany last year - from the 'real' Christmas markets, the angel on top of the tree & a 'NOEL' which stands on our unit in the lounge.

...... first of all I'd like to introduce Baby Paul - how cute?

Then I would like to say Happy 2nd Birthday to our beautiful Grand-daughter Olivia Rae

It was on the 28th November but we celebrated again the day after she arrived back in the UK (2/12)and Henry was there too to help blow out her candles!

Next meet Gracie Anne, she's a spindle doll i've been making over the past few months - I think I'm gonna alter her face tho cos' she's not very attractive with that one!!LOL

Next here's the neck warmer I was telling you about, I decided to give this one to Natalie as an extra birthday prezzie, since then I've made another for myself which is exactly the same & very warm too!

I've also been doing a bit of scrapping lately, mainly at the crops I've been to and a few pages for the January kit over at Sarah's (some sneak peeks below)

This first one is done with American Crafts Junior, Henry with his granddads bikers helmet on - just had to scrap those pics!

An older photo of Olivia which I've scrapped a couple of times before!! LOL but I do love it! I took inspiration for this one from the wonderful Kiesha Campbell's fabulous pages - I used AC Letterbox here & some embellishments from my stash!

Henry dancing his socks off one night - you know that mad half hour they get before bed?? He's such a show off when he knows you're watching!! LOL
I used the fab Nikki Sivills Henry's bbrilliance range for this.

And lastly, a photo of Olivia on the run in the park near where she lives in Germany, I just love this pic & how she looks in it! I took inspiration from one of Jen Jockish's pages for this one - another of my favourite scrappers!!

...... I really didn't mean to leave it so long!! Sorry! :)

:( My beloved sewing machine decided to die yesterday :( so today I took it to a shop to see if it could be fixed - oh yes the nice man said! :) £56 for a service & then whatever for any parts!!!! :( :( it was obvious it was gonna need a new shuttle case.
OK quite expensive - 'so when could you do it for me?' about 4 weeks he said!!!!!! what??? ...... I couldn't live without it for that long - I've had a sewing machine since I was 9 years old and use it quite a lot these days!!!
Anyway, I decided to treat myself to a new one :) :) :)

This is it & it's the best I've ever had!!
It was more expensive than the repair of my other but well worth it, it stitches like a dream & has a cool function that is gonna be so good for me - you don't need to use the foot pedal!! it works with just the touch of a finger so it's gonna save loads of leg/back strain! BRILLIANT!! Also it will get a full service from the shop every single year of it's life - what more could you ask for?
I've been busy playing tonight & have stitched all the pyjama's for my Xmas snowmen - which I was in the middle of yesterday!! Oh and Mick said he will pay for it for my Xmas prezzie - what a guy eh?
I'll take photo's when they're finished and also of the neck warmer I crochted thru the week ............. yes Sarah I've finished it & love it!! ............ think I've got the bug back after years of not doing any crochet!! - I'm blaming you for that one! :D :D

Right I'm off for now, need an early night cos' I need to do lots of Christmas stuff tomorrow & I've got a crop on Sunday!

What wonderful friends I have..........

.......... Kath & Elsie are so lovely! I went cropping with them yesterday & the gave me this little miss .........

While I was away with the DT last weekend they attended a class to make her & instead of doing their own dolls they made this for me! I was so shocked & delighted at the same time! I love her & my friends!! Thank you!

Here's what I got up to last week at the retreat .........

This was my one hour challenge layout - Sarah chose my photo's & three papers which I had to create with, I scrapping under pressure (and it was a bit of a rush for such a 'bare' page!!) but I'm pleased with the result!

This one was quite a quick page to do, I used the lovely Lilybee 3 little birds Accent Rub-ons - gorgeous!! and embelished with some old SEI epoxy essentials. Love these photo's of Olivia!

Again I used the Lilybee papers & rub-ons, I added small brads for the little birdies tummies here (much better in real life!) and also used machine stitching to add a bit of texture.

I wasn't very happy with this page last week so altered it a bit & added another to make it a double page spread at home! I used the gorgeous Basic Grey Lemonade papers, embellishments & doilie papers and a bit of hand stitching.

And finlly as promised, here's a couple of photo's of the houses I've been altering lately for christmas.............

These are so much nicer in real life, they are covered in fine very sparkly glitter but it doesn't show in these pics!

Oh & before I go I'd just like to show you another project I done a couple of weeks ago ..........

This is a wall hanging that I did as a practice before I start on a full sized quilt. I've never quilted before & didn't want to throw myself right into such a huge project!! LOL I love the 'querkiness' of this little angel, such a cute little thing. Did you notice the fabric? It's Basic Grey Figgy Pudding - love it!!

WOW! what fabulous hostess's Sarah & Lianne were, we wanted for nothing!!
The company, food, accomidation, view & laughter was just perfect!
It was the break I needed but it will certainly take a long time to get over! hahaha! ......... it was well worth every bit of pain I'm suffering now!

Right, whats been happening in my life since I last posted?

I've been scrapping, cropping, been on holiday, been busy doing granny things (my favourite!) I've done a bit of altering, some sewing, etc, etc.

Here's a few pages that I've created using the fab kits from Sarah's

These pages were done using the July kit - I love the photo's of Olivia & Henry chatting & giggling over the rocking horse, I wonder if they'll be as friendly the next time they get together??

The photo of Olivia on the 'Sweet' layout is one of my favourites so far, it makes me laugh every time I look at it! :D The colours here on the blog are not as bright as the are in real life, these papers & embellishments were such a pleasure to work with, all bright & summery!

Personality - well that little lady certainly has her own personality - which I love!

Here are a few more items I've worked on for Sarah's Cards

Here I used the gorgeous Cosmo Cricket Early Bird collection - this was a dream to work with & right up my street!
'Remote Control' has a real story to it - Henry was on my knee one day and was after the TV remote which he knew he wasn't allowed to have, so after many kisses & hugs (creeping!) I let him have a play. He pressed a few buttons, switching it from channel to channel when all of a sudden he pressed something that made the screen go blank & all blue - I captured every expression perfectly & as he passed the remote back to me saying 'bwoke' his face was so funny :D the poor little fella really did think he'd broken the TV!!

The next page was taken in our garden at the begining of August, I was trying out some 'trendy' shots of Henry & his daddy Joe. I was quite pleased with the result & will have to try a few more soon.

The last one is Natalie before she became a home-maker/mum.

This is a cookie holder that I made from the leftovers, just a simple little project that would make a lovely gift - the little whisk image was my inspiration for this, I think I'll make a few more of these for Christmas!

Well that's me for now, I will make time to come back soon - well I'll have to, because I'm off for a weekend away with the girls on the DT so you'll want to hear what we got up to won't you? LOL

I've loved this one that much that I'm going to carry on til' every last scrap has gone!!

Had a few techno problems this past week with my TV loosing it's sound & thinking it dead forever & my printer going crazy with allsorts of wavey photo's & staggered text - TV now back to normal & printer better than it was but I'm going to take it somewhere to get it serviced anyway!! I like printing at home & would go mad if I couldn't do just that again when I want to print & scrap straight away!

Long time no see ..................

............ I'm blaming Henry! LOL (DGS)

Anyway, I've been busy with nanny duties, cropping, show shopping (papercrafts & fabric!!) sorting thru my mountain of scrapbooking stash that seems to be getting out of hand! I have given an awful lot away already to a good cause & still need to trek thru tons more that I KNOW I won't ever get to use even if I live to be 150! LOL I'm sure you fellow crafters are in the same boat? hopefully I'll get the rest done over the next couple of weeks & I'm definately gonna stick to my guns when out shopping & only buy what I WILL use & use it in the very near future! I think my problem has been that I buy way too much stuff, stick it in a cupboard or draw & forget I've got it - I then find it months later (sometimes years!!) and then don't want to use it once it's found because my style has changed! ........... what are us crafter like eh?!

I've been busy with the May kit from Sarah's when I first saw the kit I was a bit weary cos' it wasn't my usual style but, once I got shuffling everything about on my desk I fell in love with it, enjoying every minuite I used up almost everything in the box!!
Here are a few sneak peeks of what I did!

I've also been busy with my dolls house & I've started quilting too! I'll try & take a photo of my quilt soon & an updated one of the house ............. I have too many hobbies & not enough hours in the day! LOL

Here are a couple of photo's from the past few weeks of Henry's first & my mums 70th birthday celebrations, we had loads of fun on both occasions & a lot of my future pages will be using pics from both, I took soooooo many & most of them are good, even tho I say so myself!! hehe!

Henry in his birthday throne, he loved every moment of his day, he was the centre of attention & was really good at taking all the fuss!

With his very proud mummy & daddy - very rare to get a photo of all three of them together!

My lovely mum Mary on her special day, we had such a good day with loads of laughter, hugs & food, food & more food!!

Myself, my younger sister Louise & mum, Natalie took this photo, I thought she did a brilliant job!

...... I'm not gonna apoligize again for not blogging sooner - instead I'm just gonna admit that I'm a RUBBISH BLOGGER!! :)

Anyway, I have a new love in my life, not a man but a house - a dolls house!! I always wanted one as a little girl but as my parents had 6 of us I never did get one!
Oh how I love it!
The kids are buying me it for my upcoming milestone birthday even tho I've been & bought it already!? I couldn't wait that long so they said they will give me the cash on my birthday so hopefully I'll just go out & buy whatever I still need for it by then!
It came in kit form so I had to make it up myself, not very hard work really & quite enjoyable. It was bare MDF so had to painted once made up, then there's the window, roof, basement, doors, stairs etc, etc! ...... I have enjoyed every proccess so far & can't wait to start choosing & putting all the furniture in the rooms!!

Here's a few pics of what I've done so far.

It's a really big house & will live in our dinning room once finished, there's still so much to do before furnishing, there's light, skirting board, coving, doors, painting or wallpaper (I haven't decided on which yet!!) carpets, curtains etc.

I'm having a scraproom in the basement area & I'm really looking forward to that, I'm gonna try & make as much of the fittings/furniture myself. Each step I'm taking photo's so I will post them here so you can see it's progress.

On another note, I recieved my DT kit from Sarah yesterday for May - WOW!! you wanna see it! I love it & can't wait to play, it seems like ages that I scrapped, must be cos' Ive been busy with other things!

Also, today we had Henry's first birthday party at Giggles although it's not his birthday til' Thursday, here's his cake that I did 'In the night garden' is his favorite TV show and he loved his cake, his party was really good & no mess to clear up afterwards - pics to follow!

It's been such a busy month that I haven't had much time on the pc let alone time to blog! Sorry!

Dean, Rachel & Olivia had to come home from Germany tow weeks ago due to her granddad being very ill & then unfortunatly passing away last week. His funeral was Wednesday so they have to return home this weekend. Although it's been lovely seeing them again so soon, I wish it would've been for happier reasons.

Well on a lighter note, I've been out today shopping for something I've really wanted all my life .......................... a dolls house!! Yes, a little girls dream that's took almost 50 years to come true!
The kids - Dean, Natalie & Lee are buying it for me for my upcoming milestone birthday! I'm so excited to get started on it you wouldn't believe!
I haven't got a picture of it that I can post just yet so once I get started I'll update with my own photo's & the building process.

Well that's it for today, I have got a few more SU card photo's that need uploading but my camera is downstairs! ......... I'll try & make time to do it tomorrow!

I'm here to upload a couple of projects I've been working on at the crop yesterday & a few SU cards I've done over the past week or so.

This first page is Olivia a couple of weeks ago, she just looks like she's modelling here so that's why I chose my title. Rachel & I were laughing when I uploaded them to the PC cos' we hadn't realised at the time of taking them just how grown up she looks & it's as if she was posing for us! .....15 months old she is!!..... Whats she gonna be like when she's older I wonder! ??
Anyway, I used the new MME Bloom & Grow collection here, it's so beautiful in real life!

This is Henry in the bath a few weeks ago, he looks so like Dean when he was his age it's scary!!
I used the new 3Bugs for this again, so 'boyish' & so cute!! ........... This collection is so quick to use cos' the base papers are almost done for you, I just added some stickers & hey-presto!

And here's the cards that I did, some of the stamps I've used are discontinued hostess sets but I love them so much that I still love using them!

I've been scrapping again today at the Golborne Crop, had a lovely day with lovely girls & delicious jacket spuds with all the trimmings & cakes galore - what more can a scrapper ask for?
I'm shattered now so I'm gonna have a bit of a tidy up in my craftroom then chill a bit before an early night!

I'll be back some time in the next couple of days with sneakies of the stuff I did with Sarah's March kit.

............ that's what I got first thing yesterday morning!
Dean arrived home from Kenya a month early!! YEAH! I was the only person that didn't know he was coming home but I didn't care when I found out I was just so pleased to see him. He looks so well all tanned & gorgeous!
Even though he's only just got back to the UK he has to be back at work in Germany next Monday so they're going to travel back there on Wednesday. I'm a bit sad but understand that he, Rachel & Olivia need to spend some time together, just the 3 of them, before he goes back to work. It won't be too long before we see them again though, they will be back here in May so it's not too long to wait.

I went cropping yesterday in Warrington & got my hands on some gorgeous new stuff from Sarah - 3 Bugs, Pink Paisley Fetching, American Crafts remarks & some new thickers, some pom-pom trim & My Minds Eye Grow and I've been scrapping with some of it already!! .......... oh and I won one of the raffle prizes too - a Tinkering Ink Botanical Bliss kit! :) ......... I guess it was my lucky day!

Here are the 2 layouts I did at the crop, the first is of Henry last November, I still need to do my journalling on the cream sticker mat but thought I'd show you anyway. He was made up cos' he could sit up on his own on my bed, as soon as we put him on the floor he lost his balance again & tippled over, it wasn't long before he could do it all by himself though & now he's crawling there's no stopping him!!!

I used the new Pink Paisley Fetching collection for this, it's absolutely gorgeous in real life, I got it all so expect to see some more pages with it soon.

This is Henry again, I love his smile in this photo, (look at his two little teeth) it was taken by his mummy on his first Christmas morning (2008)
I used the new 3 Bugs in a Rug Snips & Snails collection, I just love them, they're perfect for Henry at this age & sooooo cute! I'm going to get on & use the rest of them while I have the photo's & urge to, so watch this space!

I've also been busy doing my DT stuff using the March kit from Sarah's Cards and will upload some sneaks very soon - I did take some photo's on Saturday but when I've put them onto the PC they're not as good as I thought so I'll try again tomorrow, fingers crossed the light is better then!

......... I'm well impressed with myself - blogging this much in a week has got to be a first!!
Anyway, I got some of the new BG Porcelain from Sarah last week - I played with it yesterday & I must say that this collection has got to be one of my favorite to date! The rub-ons are to die for & are such a pleasure to use.
Here's what I did, it's my gorgeous DGD Olivia last week, I love this photo of her, she looks so innocent!

I posted a close-up to show you the detail on the bird cage paper which I handcut & 3D'd with silicone glue to embellish my page, I curled the edges of the paper with my knife handle.

I'm busy playing with my DT goodies for the March kit over at Sarah's I absolutely love this kit, the colours & patterns are perfect for both my subjects this month (DGD & DGS).

Well that's it for tonight, I'm in a creative mood so I best make the most of it!

............ as promised I've come back sooner rather than 'later' - as I usually!

Here is a photo of the birdhouse that I altered using the new Backyard collection from Sarah. I've really loved using these papers etc & might just have to have the rest of the American Crafts goodies from her!

I also used some chipboard shapes from an old AC collection - they went rather well I thought!?

I'm going to spend most of the day scrapping tomorrow, I need to use up loads of the stash I've had for a while now so I can make space for all the new CHA goodies that are winging their way into the UK and hopefully right into my craftroom! LOL

....... thank you so much for visiting & sending me lovely comments re my previous post, it made me feel so much better! :)
I'm getting a bit stronger each day - thank God, but I'm still quite jumpy whilst in the house alone, not that it's been much over the past week, I've never had so many people wanting to spend time with me! LOL

I got my hands on the new American Crafts Backyard collection last week & can't believe how lovely it is in real life, the rub-ons are gorgeous & the papers are just so cute - I also found that some of the accents from past collections from AC went really well with these, notice the chipboard birdies on my 'Laugh out Loud' page! ........ I thought they were perfect!?

The rub-ons are transparent too, see how you can see my photo through the 2 little birdies sitting on top of the letter 'l', I thought that was so cool!

I'm in the middle of altering a bird house with my left overs so I'll upload photo's as soon as it's finished.

Well that's it for today, I'll probably be back some time tomorrow with another update!

How dare they?????

First off, please forgive me for not blogging lately!
Sencondly be warned of the loooooong post!

Last Tuesday someone had the cheek to smash through the back door of our home with a pick axe!!??
I was snoozing in the chair in the lounge at about 2:45pm when I heard what I thought to be a leaflet through the letterbox, a few moments later a distant thud followed by a crackling noise, initially I thought it to be something falling over in my craftroom - maybe an album or a box of embelishments! I thought 'I'll check on that in a minuite!'
A few minuites later I heard an almighty bang & smash, my thought then was that the oven door had blown because I'd had it on making Lee some jacket spuds for his lunch.
(A few years ago we had an oven door do just that & the noise sounded just like then!)
I immediately jumped up & ran from the lounge into the hall & thats when I saw a man reaching over the island in my kitchen and grabbing my handbag!!!
He ran when I shouted very loudly 'B*****D'!! Instinctivly I ran towards him & was horrified to find the pick axe on the patio outside the back doors!
I didn't really get a good look at him, he just looked like the 'run of the mill' THUG!
The police & CID seem to think he was after the keys to Deans Focus ST which has been on our drive (for safe keeping) since he left for Kenya at the begining of January.
I was in shock for a couple of days but I'm feeling much better now. Mick has been busy putting up a side fence & gate & some more security lighting & we're off tomorrow for some camera's ............ there's not really much more we can do to keep them out & build my confidence back up!

O.K. on a much happier note .............. have you seen all the new goodies over at SARAH'S ..... OMG I have got my hands on the new BG Porcelain papers & goodies & the Jillybeans Kraft collection, not to mention the AC Backyard papers & rub-ons - WOW!! I'm in scrapbooking heaven!

I've also been busy playing with the AC Amplified 2 range from SARAH'S it was one of the collections that I wasn't drawn to but really enjoyed creating with! If you have ever fancied playing with Amplified 2 then get yourself over there quick, there's a massive SALE on right now & things are going so fast!!

I'll upload a few photo's in the next couple of days of what I did!

......... at last! lets just hope we've seen the last of those nasty bugs for a long time!!
I thought I'd best come back & upload the reveals for my DT work over at Sarah's
I just loved everything about this kit, the colours, the papers & the embellishments were all such a treat to work with!
These are the 3 LO's that I did (not very good photo's of them, sorry!)

And a couple of cards I did too, like I said before 'I just loved it all' and couldn't stop using it!

I hope you like what I did - keep your eyes peeled over at Sarah's Cards over the next few weeks/months because they have so much on offer!

I've not been right since the last bug & sinus infection I had! :(

...... I'm just stopping by to update with some bits & bobs I did before Christmas last year! (Gosh it seems funny saying 'last year' when it was only just over 2 weeks ago!!)
Anyway, here's a little Maya Road chipboard album I made for Olivia's first birthday, I used American Crafts Everyday collection papers from HERE and some little bits & pieces from my stash. I wanted to put together all my favourite photo's of her from her first year, I'm sure Olivia will change just as much in her second year as she did here!
Rachel & Dean loved it.

I really enjoyed creating these Stampin'Up Christmas cards, it made a nice change to stamp & emboss rather than just use papers & embellishments.

I've loved working with this kit so much! It's one of my favorite colour combo's & there's so much to play with including bling, rub-ons, buttons, blooms etc, etc - not to mention the gorgeous double sided papers! If you want to get your hands on the kit I'd hurry if I were you cos' they're not gonna be there for long!

On another note, I don't know if I've mentioned it before now but, my eldest DS Dean is off to Kenya on Monday for 3 months! :( we're all gonna miss him so much, especially his DD Olivia & wife Rachel but, I know it's gonna be a really good experience for him!! ............. hopefully it'll go past quickly!

I so need to go & get myself off to bed right now, I'll be back soon though with some more pics of a few more bits I've been creating lately!

Anyway, I thought I'd come on & show you what I did for Sarah with her gorgeous card & scrapbooking kits for November!

Olivia in the bath, does every baby love to suck at their flannel? I know all of my 3 did & now the grandkids are doing it too!

This layout started off as a card idea!! I liked it so thought I'd turn it into a page instead! LOL Olivia again showing off her 2 new teeth.

I just had to do a page of these 2 photo's of them both laughing, it's a shame they weren't together at the time!:( maybe over Christmas I can get some 'together' shots?

This is my favourite layout EVER!! I just loved this kit so much & have been saving these photo's of Henry for that 'something special' ........... am I the only scrapper who does that with photo's?

and a couple of cards too!

Well I recieved my December kit from Sarah today & again it's absoluetly gorgeous, can't wait to get stuck in over the weekend!

.......... to say Hi!
Not really much to post at the moment other than I've not been very well :( been quite lethargic, sickly & tired!
not sure if it was a bug/virus of some sort but I had flu like symptoms & feelings of what I thought to be a chest infection!! I've been checked out by the doc who says I'm really run down & it will take a few more days to get back to normal!
I've been ploding along with a mini book for Olivia's first birthday, just a few more bits to add - I'm not gonna upload any pics tho til' I've given it to her cos' her mummy Rachel visits here sometimes & I want it to be a surprise! ;)

I Can't believe just how quick 2008 has gone so far!?
I haven't even thought about Christmas yet & I know it's gonna be upon us so quick!........maybe I should start thinking about it over the weekend & try & get a head start on my cards!

Anyway, I've been busy doing my DT stuff for Sarah I just loved every bit of the November kit, here's a couple of sneak peeks for you to have a peep at!

It's good news time!!!

The lovely Sarah of Sarahs Cards has asked me to become one of her team members!! And of course I said YES!! I felt so honoured to be asked & will enjoy every minuite of it!
I recieved my first kit a couple of days ago & it's fabulous - some of my fav papers at the mo & gorgeous stamps & embellies! I can't give too much away right now but keep an eye open for some sneek peeks!

We've been to 2 babies parties today & I'm exhausted! The first was at a farm, although it was great the weather definately wasn't! it never stopped raining for the whole time we were there! The second was in a house so at least it was dry but, the one year old who's birthday it was, wasn't very well :( it was sad to see him just about smile when he saw his birthday cake!

Well I'm off now to watch the results of the Xfactor, not quite sure who was my favorite this week - will be interesting to see who goes!?

I Know - I Know .......

............I promised I'd be back the next day & guess what I just didn't have the time or was busy doing more important things like crafting!!
Anyway, I'm here & uploading a fabulous LO which was done by the fabulous Cal at the Pink Boobie crop a few weeks ago! The reason I didn't upload before was because I couldn't get a very good photo of it - I still haven't but it'll have to do cos' I wanted to show you all! I love what Cal did & wish I could scrap as quick & as good as she can ..........maybe one day when I get over my 'perfection'
issues!!

I've been to yet another crop since I last posted, it was in Burnley &
organised by the lovey Jayne Although we all enjoyed the meet up, there wasn't enough staff in the shop to look after us as we had expected, I think if it had been on a Saturday it would've been a bit more organised, now Jayne is going to try & get hold of another venue so we can still have the crop twice a month!

Here's a couple of pages I've been working on, I did Olivia's at the crop & set Henry's out which I then finished on Monday, I hope you like them?

I used Basic Grey papers for this one, Olivia has 6 teeth @ 8 months & is happy to show you too! LOL

I also used BG here, it's the new Offbeat collention & I'm sure you'll see me using it a bit more for Henry's pages!
I must sign off now cos' I'm shattered & have an early hospital appointment tomorrow!

.......Nanny Cathy & Granddad Mick :) we had Henry stay overnight & he was as good as gold!
He's growing so fast & learning all the time, we saw a real difference in him & it's only been a weeks - we're gonna be so shocked when we see Olivia next month after 3.5months!! we'll sure see a huge difference in her! ..... I can't wait!

I'm just gonna test something here now - be back in a minute!

Yes, it worked!! I was just trying a new signature out to see if it would work, it did but I don't like the box around it so I'm off again to see what I can do!

Yeah!!! I did it!
I think I prefer the red one now to the original grey one - no doubt I'll change it again before too long! LOL!!!

...... Gosh it's going soooo fast lately!
Sorry I haven't updated for a while but I've been in quite a bit of pain :(

I've been playing at scrapping! I went to the Pink Boobie crop last weekend, it's a crop to raise funds for breast cancer awareness - ironically one of my fellow Stampin Up demo's over at ILWS has this week been diagonsed with the said disease! I was so shocked to hear her sad news but, I know she WILL fight this & WIN!! You go Sam!
Anyway back to the crop - I did 3 pages, one of Henry one of Olivia & another of one of another scrappers boobies! Yes, we had a boobie photo swap & someone else scrapped Micks boobies!! (no way was I having anyone scrap mine! LOL) ..........I forgot to pick that page up so I'll have to wait til' next month to get it!

Sorry about the VERY bad photo's of these pages, they have transparencies over them & I couldn't get them any better!!
I used the new Fancy Pants collenctions on both, they're gorgeous papers etc & are so much better in real life!

I've also done a few SU cards over the past couple of weeks, I hope you like them?

These first 2 I used the 'Pick A Petal' set.

This one I used
'Seeing Spots'
'Oh So Lovely' (retired hostess set) & the scallop circle punch!

And finally, for this one I used
'Simply Said' & the scallop circle punch again! ...... maybe I won't use this as often when my scallop edge one arrives!!

I used the new Fancy Pants collection & my subject was the gorgeous Henry - of course!!

.....I can't believe it's gonna be October in a couple of days! Today the weather has been gorgeous & I thought it weired that it went dark so early!!?

Anyway, I've done a few more SU cards & thought you might want to see them?

This one is done with the 'Simply Said' set & the scallop circle punch.

This is my favorite one, I used 'Seeing Spots' set & the scallop circle punch - I think I like this punch!!LOL

And for this I used 'Seeing spots' & the tiny flower from 'Simply said' set ........... & yes you can see I used 'that' punch again!! & the corner punch to make my scalloped edge!

Well I have to get things ready for my crop tomorrow, so see you all soon!

......... about the new Stampin'Up Catalogue!! It's available through me, so give me a shout if you want one! I know you're gonna love all the new goodies in it which I will be able to order from 1st October! Get your order in quick & be one of the first to get your mitts on the new stuff!

Well I've been busy making a few cards etc with some SU stamps & accesories, I hope you like what I've done?

I used the 'Bundle of Joy' set for the above, I just love it, it's so cute & looks great in any colour combo!

This one is the hostess set 'Oh So Lovely' which I'm afraid has been retired, there's some gorgeous sets to take it's place though.

'Seeing Spots' set for this one, oh & the 'Scallop Circle Punch' - I know I'm going to use this set over & over again, it's so versatile & has been carried over to the new catalogue which I'm pleased about.
And here's some Christmas stuff I've created:

This tree image is from the 'Old Fashioned Christams' set & looks as lovely in 'close to cocoa' ink as the 'old olive' I used previously - I'm gonna try colouring the images in next time I use this set.

This little gift card/envelope & card I made for my first workshop, it went down a treat! I won this stamp set on a fellow SU demo's blog & I love it!

My latest creation! I just loved doing this, I was inspired by another Stampin'Up demo in the US. I used the 'Perfect Presents' again on this along with the scallop circle punch & my corner rounder to make the scalloped edge - no need to do that for much longer though, not now there's a Scallop Boarder Punch in the new catalogue!!

Olivia, taken just before they went back to Germany 5 weeks ago, she's such a doll!

And Henry, taken about 4 weeks ago, he just loves the camera, I'm so lucky to have such a sweet subject!

Henry is growing like a weed lately, he's gonna be a big boy! Olivia has started crawling & is walking around the furniture driving here mummy & daddy up the wall - bless her!

Anyway, I must be off now, I'm not gonna promise when I'll be back cos' I know I won't be able to keep it! LOL

.......... ready to be a better blogger!! ......... ??

Anyway, we had a fabulous time, the weather was gorgeous & I was very pleased that I didn't have to climb stairs for a whole 17 days!

Stampin'Up has a new catalogue coming very, very soon & I thought I'd share a couple of sneak peaks ............

Do you like them? I think they're fab, especially the 'True Friend' set - here's another 2 sets for you to drool over ...........

I can't make my mind up which of these 2 I like the best, I'm sure I'll have both in my possesion very soon! LOL!

Also there's going to be a scallop boarder punch!!!

There's also some sets going into retirement from the old catalogue, so have a look through & give me a shout if there's anything you need & I'll let you know which ones are not going to be available for much longer - be quick though cos' once they're gone - they're gone!!!

I'm amazed at my new toy! Mick & Dean have been playing with it most of the day, taking pics of flies on flowers, birds feeding in the garden - just about anything really & showing me what it does on the screen! I thought my Sony Cybershot was good but oh no, not compared to this beauty!!
They say it's not too difficult to navigate so hopefully I won't have to go thru the manual before we go away!!

Anyway, I'm off now but will be back tomorrow with some photo's of the SU cards I've done over the past couple of nights!

.......... meet my new toy!! I've been talking about this for a while now & he just suggested we go out shopping this afternoon after being stuck in due to the horrible non-stop rain!!!

I even got the bag, SD card & filters too!

I'm sooooooo excited & lovin' it already!! I can't wait to have a proper play - even tho at the moment I don't seem to have enough time in the day to do all of the other things I want to! :( I'm sure I'll squeeze it in somehow tho!!

Well that's all for today I'm afraid, I'm gonna have a play with my SU stuff now, will upload some pics tomorrow!

I've been Stampin'Up ...........

and I've been lovin' it!!

Here's a few cards I've made over the past few days..........

These first two I used the Old Fashioned Christmas set -
cs: Old Olive, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip & Ruby Red, I also used my notebook punch on the edge & 2 rhinstone brads.

cs: Old Olive, Whisper White, Close to Cocoa & Ruby Red, I also used my notebook punch on the edge & added some gingham ribbon. Ink: Ruby red & Close to cocoa - I used a watercolour technique to colour in Santa's hat.

This one I used the Simply Said set cs: Punkin Pie, Old Olive, Whisper White & Ruby Red - Inks to match, I coloured the tiny flowers in with my blender pen & RR ink ...... love this technique!

Simply Said set again here & the same coloured cs & Whisper White ribbon.

For this one I used my Stampin Around Jumbo Wheel - Petals & Real Red ink on Whisper White cs, I coloured the little spots with my blender pen & Old Olive ink, the greeting is from the Seeing Spots set, I punched out one of the flowers & adhered with a dimensional.

I hope you like my first cards that I've created with these fab stamps!

I'm off to play some more now while the ideas are rushing round my head & there's no grandbabies around!! LOL

hope you like it? I'm gonna do another one tonight from the same set so I can get a bit of practice in!!

The only thing on this card from SU is the stamped images, I can't wait to get my kit so I can have a play for real!!

Dean, Rachel & Olivia are on their way home as I type!! when I wake up in the morning (if I sleep at all!) they'll not be far away!! Yeah!! I can't wait to see them & spend some quality time over the next 3 weeks!

I have some cards to show you that I've made over the past couple of weeks, hope you like them! ........ Oh, I nearly forgot to tell you that I'm in the process of signing up with Stampin'Up to be an independent demo!! I'm so excited about getting my hands on some of their fab stamps & goodies! ........ watch this space!

Sorry Dean & Rachel!!
Anyway, I've been busy entertaining Henry & creating some pages of both my gorgeous grandkids!!

Here's a few pics of Henry during a photo shoot on Sunday afternoon, he was so funny - when he was happy he was very happy & when he was angry it was funny!! :)

I just love this of him peeping over the towels in the basket, his eyes look so big & the one looking over Natalies shoulder - or should I say 'eating' her shoulder is my 2nd favourite!!

And here's a few pages that I've created lately, firstly Olivia at 4 months, I used one of my Studio Calico kits for this one & a few extra's!

This one is Henry age about 9 weeks, his new suit says 'Instructions NOT included' so I had to do a LO using that title!! lol I used Basic Grey papers & some Cosmo Cricket blackboard shapes.

I just love this photo of Olivia, to me she just looks like she's having a lonely picnic! how cute does she look with her hoody on?

I used K&Co paper, Hambly overlay, some AC thickers & a Maya Rd tree with loads of tiny buttons - I knew I'd find a use for them one day!! lol

I've been to my very first crop!! I thoroughly enjoyed myself, being with girls who enjoy doing what I do!
I managed to get 3 LO's done (well I need to just add a little to one & the photo to another!LOL) which is a whole lot more than I'd have got done at home by myself!
I can't wait for the next one in August!

On another note, we had our cute little prince Henry here yesterday, he's getting so big, almost too heavy for me to carry, next time he will be so I'll just have to cuddle him sitting down! We had yet another photo shoot (will upload in a couple of days) & he was very happy & smiley for us!
Also, we get to cuddle Olivia at the end of the month as they're home for 2 weeks (or more) which is great cos' we won't all be fighting over her!

Well I need to close tonight as I'm shattered after a long day!

What is this weather all about? It's not stopped raining all day long, I mean real heavy rain too!! It's sooooooooo miserable! :( Hope it's better where you are!

Anyway, I promised to upload a couple of recent projects I've been working on, so here goes..........

I've been wanting to scrap these pics of Olivia for ages now, she was so good sitting in the laundry basket & her expressions made me giggle, she's just like Dean was at her age - it's hard to believe that was 27 years ago!!!!!

Our little prince Henry having his first photo shoot! Although we didn't get mush of a smile the pics turned out pretty good - he's such a cutie & has a character all of his own already!!

These are part of my creative team work for www.rebeccasscrapbookingstash.co.uk using the June boomin blossoms kit & extra's.

........ that's what I am for being a bad-bad blogger!

I have been busy, with summer things etc, ie: gardens of the house being done! yah!!
And of course, being a nan to little Henry & rearranging my craftroom - getting rid of stuff that's hidden behind closed doors & bringing most of my stash out in the open so I can see it to use it!! Also, I'm not as creative in the summer months as autumn & winter, much rather be outdoors!

Anyway, here's a few recent pics of Olivia & Henry, tomorrow I'll post a couple of LO's etc that I've done recently!

He's growing so fast, and is already 9 weeks old!! ............ who stole that time??!!

On the front of Henry's suit it says ' Instructions NOT included' so I just had to take a pic from behind too!!

I've been busy being a grandma to Henry & a helper/mum to Natalie!!

They came to stay yeasterday & went home earlier this evening, Henry is just so edible! Natalie is coping so well considering the bad time she had in the hospital only 12 days ago. She's breastfeeding & it's going really well & he's sleeping 3-4 hourly, I took him last night so she could get a bit more rest which made her very happy!
I've started a first week mini album for her that she can keep handy in her handbag & look back on once he starts growing (I had to hide it away over the weekend so as not to spoil the surprise!!LOL) as soon as it's done I'll upload pics.

He's finally arrived!!!!...............

........... Henry Michael that is!

He entered the world on Wednesday the 23rd April at 18:22 weighing a whoppa 8lb 7oz!
He's gorgeous although he was a little poorly, just a bit jaundice & his bloods were a little infected & low. He's fine now & will probably be going home tomorrow.

Natalie was in labour for almost 3 days until they decided to give her a cesarean section!

I'll add a few more pics in a couple of days once he's settled into his new home & I have a bit more free time!

Still no news on Natalie........

Natalie is fed up now, bless her! I hope it's not much longer she has to wait & if she doesn't go tomorrow then I hope as soon as she's induced on Monday that he's quick making an entrance & she doesn't suffer too much pain!

Olivia is staying again tonight, she's sleeping right now after an evening being passed around her relatives, Nanny Ann (her great grandma) came to visit with aunty Lynn, then there was Craig Lynns son & his mate & Uncle Lee throwing her about as usual!! LOL she does love a bit of rough & tumble!!

I've taken just a few photo's of her while we've had her staying, about 150, like I say, just a few! ha ha!
I haven't had much time to play with them yet but here's a couple that I spotted while flicking thru this afternoon!

Oh, Rachel & Olivia are now going home (to Germany) this coming Wednesday now cos' they miss each other far too much to be apart any longer! I just love the fact that they are so much in love & can't wait to be back together again!
Although I will miss Olivia loads & loads I do understand how they feel!

Can't belive time is going soooooo fast!
Just popping in to say HI!! Olivia is absolutely gorgeous & Natalie is waiting for her baby to arrive!! ............ if he hasn't made an entrance by Monday then they're taking her in to be induced! ....... something she's not looking forward to!

We have Olivia over night tonight, she's such a good baby, Dean & Rachel are so lucky she is! She sleeps from about 9pm til' 9am, can't ask for more than that!!?

I've also been doing a few pages for their wedding album so Rachel can take it back with her on the 1st May. They will be coming back home at the end of May when Dean gets his new car, they will also get to meet their new nephew too.

I haven't had time to load any new photo's of Olivia yet, hopefully tomorrow!

I'm off to bed now cos' I'm shatterd! Thanks for visiting me even though there's not much for you to see or read! :)

Been busy doing a layout & card for Rebecca's creative team (can't show you yet, sorry!) I've used birdie bits it's so cute!!

Well, Natalie was due today, no she hasn't gone ... yet!! (had her baby that is!) she's not even had any real twinges!! She saw her midwife yesterday who told her she'd see her next week if she hasn't already gone & then they'll talk about what to do next, Natalie is hoping she's met her son by then!! LOL I said, enjoy the rest while you can!

........... it's April 6th & it's snowing!!! ............. where's the sunshine & warm weather??
I suppose if it had been nice outside then I wouldn't have been in my craft room crafting so I shouldn't complain too much! So glad I've got such a great hobby, I feel sorry for anyone who has outdoor hobbies!!
Anyway, here's some of the cards & a LO I've done over the past couple of weeks!

Olivia in her fairy outfit, she looks just like an angel to me!!

I used some K&Co papers for this & some gorgeous wide organzer ribbon from The Range, didn't know they sold ribbon until last week!!

I used more of K&Co's papers here & my Cricut Doodletype cartridge, I really like this font!

This one I did with some really old scrap papers I wanted to use up!

This is also done with some scrap papers I had & the Cuttlebug cake die, I love this orange gingham ribbon that I got from a charity shop while back!!

The next 3 were done using the Celebrations Cricut cartridge, didn't think I'd like this cart but I LOVE it!! I love the party hat & 'celebrate' I did these cards with males in mind, using MM papers.
